AC Physical Therapy

Amber Carpenter, PT opened ACPT in the Fall of 2007. She wanted to provide the community with a Physical Therapy practice that put the needs of the patient first, allowing for customized care for each patient in a comfortable environment.

ACPT allows therapists and patients to work together to decide on a plan of care that fits each patient's needs. Private treatment rooms, continuity of care with one Physical Therapist and one-on-one patient care are provided for every patient throughout their course of treatment.

We realize that caring for patients is a team effort that requires excellent communication. Success and goals are achieved when the patient, family, referring physician and physical therapist work together. At AC Physical Therapy we recognize each patient has individual, unique needs. Together we facilitate wellness and return to desired activities. To achieve this we provide:

  • Unique, efficient, and effective treatment plans based on individual patient needs and goals. Our common goal is to improve quality of life, maximize function, and restore wellness.

  • One-on-one care, specialized hands on techniques, advanced orthopedic, and biomechanical expertise makes AC Physical Therapy the leader in skilled manual outpatient physical therapy.

  • New and innovative technology designed to augment healing and relieve pain. We offer cutting edge treatments including infra-red light emitting diodes, advanced mechanical traction, biofeedback, neuromuscular electrical stimulation, surface electromyographic measurements, ultrasound and more.

  • Education in pain management, injury prevention, and self-help strategies encourage patients to be involved in their rehabilitative process.  Each patient is educated with both visual aides and models on the involved anatomy and physiology of healing their injury using easy to understand terminology.

  • Aquatic therapy sessions, which facilitate movement while limiting the normal pressures gravity exerts on joints. The hydro-static pressure from the water also allows patients to exercise without causing swelling and pain in their affected region.

  • Postural, movement, and muscle re-education are achieved through a variety of methods including Pilates.  These programs are designed to slow degenerative processes and prevent future injury.

  • Commitment to continuous education of our community, consistent review of recent published research.  We provide superior, consistent, and reliable physical therapy services our community can depend on.
